The health and safety of our guests, tenants, partners and employees are of the highest priority to Wereldhave. The emphasis on this has become stronger since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. This part of our website is aimed to provide support while navigating through these challenging times for our valued tenants and visitors. The operations in our centers changes during this period, following the regulations and guidelines from national, regional and local governments. This site will therefore be continuously updated with new information, so please check regularly.

June 22, 2020
  • Cinema and Fitness are reopend in France. From this date, 100% of the shops will be authorized to open.
June 8, 2020
  • Where floorspace allows the lunchrooms, restaurants and cafés in our Belgium and French centers are successfully reopend. Needed measures such as pre-reservations, maximum number of guest per 1,5 meter and take a way options are arranged by the local business owners. Only terraces when center is in orange zone (Côté Seine).
  • In order to provide maximum support to its food & beverage operators its Belgian centers for the reopening within the social distancing rules, Wereldhave has decided to use every effort possible.  No less than 51 food & beverage operators in its five Belgian shopping centers in Flanders and Walloon can make use of 2,000 square meters of additional space. The cafés and restaurants can use this surface starting on the 8th of June for a period of three months free of charge to set-up additional tables and terraces.

  • Additionally, Wereldhave in Belgium offers its food & beverage partners an account on the online reservation platform Resengo, that has 4.9 million reserved place settings and 1.5 million active users every month. The manager of the shopping centers is responsible for the set-up costs. Thanks to this tool, visitors to the catering establishments can make a reservation in advance, so that they are always 100 percent sure of their spot. For their part, the catering operators can count on optimal utilization of their business in accordance with all Covid-19 guidelines.

  • Contact-business are allowed to reopen for business in The Netherlands on 19th May.
  • Contact-business are allowed to reopen for business in Belgium on 18th May.
May 11, 2020
  • Almost all businesses (except F&B and contact-business) have successfully reopend in our Belgium and French centers. Supermarkets, pharmacies and food stores stayed open during country lock down regulations.
May 8, 2020
  • All Dutch centers stayed open and mainly supermarkets, lunchrooms, restaurants cafés and contact-business were closed during the smart lock down. Many other business and retailers adjusted their opening hours. 
  • All Belgium centers are reopend as from 11 May 2020
  • All French centers are reopend as from 11 May 2020
